As an American/Cuban, Ruben studied acting for 2 years, Ruben speaks English with an American accent (able to do all regional American accents) and is fluent in conversational Spanish. As an amputee (at the hip), he uses either crutches or a wheelchair. He also has a prosthesis but requires crutches still to walk.
Ruben is a trained facilitator and is able to welcome, guide and manage a group event to ensure that the group's objectives are met effectively, with clear thinking, good participation and full attention from everyone who is involved.
Specialising in equality and diversity, Ruben is disabled himself, and this brings another dimension to training.
As an American, Ruben is able to do all North American regional accents as well as speak conversational Spanish fluently with a Cuban accent. Ruben has experience recording in ADR and has a youthful sounding voice. He normally records in the 25 to 40 year age group and can be quite animated.
Ruben can bring that 'lived experience' to your event. Surviving a motorcycle accident where he was run over by a lorry, he spent 6 months in hospital and another year and a half at home in a hospital bed. It was then that the doctors agreed amputation would give him back his mobility.
Ruben presents is own show "Undiscovered Northampton" most Thursdays from 10am to 1pm on Northampton's own NLive 106.9 where he talks to guests, reports the news and discusses what's happening in and around Northampton.
With experience with modelling for internal documents, to adoption agencies and corporate brochures, Ruben is experienced infront of the camera, no matter the platform.
