In 2005, Ruben was struck by a hit and run driver while riding his motorcycle. The car knocked him under a fully loaded gravel lorry, and the driver failed to notice. The lorry continued driving, dragging Ruben about thirty feet before running over him. After five weeks in a coma and six months in the hospital, he spent another year and a half seeing doctors to try and save his leg. Ultimately, it was determined that amputation was necessary. This pivotal moment allowed Ruben to regain control of his life. Now, as a master of ceremony and a passionate motivational speaker, he empowers others to discover their inner strength, regardless of the battles they face. Additionally, he excels as a presenter, sharing his remarkable journey with audiences and inspiring them to overcome adversity.
